According to data released by Changsha Customs on July 20, in the first half of this year, the total import and export value of Hunan Province was 260.35 billion yuan, an increase of 28% over the same period of the previous year, maintaining a positive year-on-year growth for nine consecutive months; the import and export value of June was 50.19 billion yuan, a record high The highest monthly value in the first half of the year.

Huang Zhiqiang, deputy head of Changsha Customs, said that Hunan's foreign trade import and export in the first half of the year was significantly better than expected, continuing the good momentum in the second half of last year and laying the foundation for the steady growth of foreign trade throughout the year.

From the perspective of trading partners, ASEAN is still Hunan's largest trading partner.In the first half of the year, Hunan's trade volume with ASEAN was 40.62 billion yuan, an increase of 20.8%; the trade volume with the United States was 36.83 billion yuan, an increase of 105.9%; the trade volume with Hong Kong, China was 23.73 billion yuan, an increase of 1.3%.

In terms of export, Hunan's export commodities are mainly mechanical and electrical products and labor-intensive products, and the export of electronic components and electrical equipment has grown rapidly, with year-on-year growth of 51.1% and 90.3% respectively.

In terms of imports, the imports of mechanical and electrical products and high-tech products decreased, while the imports of metal ore, ore, and grain increased significantly.Imported grain was 7.51 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 130.7%.
